A key skill of Jordans was his leadership ability and this is something what mad him different from all other star players and captains in the league. The culture and fundamentals Jordan has within him to adopt such a key role within the team and excel at it and deliver in crucial moments. Jordan was a leader that inspired his people to push forward when faced with obstacles. However, one of Jordan’s flaws was perhaps that he over-persevered from a leadership perspective, failing to adjust his approach based on situational factors. Michael Jordan’s vision as a player was clear and straightforward and in an interview in 2019, he said, “When I was playing, my vision and my tunnel vision was my craft. I was a professional basketball player. And I tried to do that the best I could.”. During Jordan’s career, he frequently demonstrated a growth-oriented appraisal of failure. He frequently saw failure as an invaluable learning experience, forming the building blocks to his ultimate success. There were countless pivotal moments in Jordans career such as finals defeats and also things of the court, but Jordan didn’t want to familiarise himself with defeat and he made sure he dissected every defeat he ever received. This was the drive, hunger, and motivation to never want to feel anything like this again that Jordan had throughout his whole career which pushed him to do the unthinkable and give us sport fans great moments we can cherish for life.
