Leadership within a team is one of the most crucial elements to being successful. Having that person or people who can inspire the rest of team and push them to their goals of winning is so important and without them it is very difficult to win anything. These leaders can be managers, coaches, or players but there needs to be at least a few in every team that can be the go to person when the team is down and needs that motivation or boost to get over the line when looking for a win.
Michael Jordan for example was a very good leader when playing for the Chicago Bulls as he would inspire his teammates on and off the court with his work rate to train every day and then with his ability to win a game almost on his own sometimes which led the Bulls to 6 NBA championships despite having never won any before and haven’t since Michael Jordan left in 1998. This shows how crucial having him as a leader was because through the 90’s, the Chicago Bulls were the most dominant team in the NBA thanks to his ability to inspire and push his teammates to become better as well as being a brilliant basketball player himself.
In more recent years, LeBron James who has been compared to Michael Jordan in many ways is also a very good leader and has helped his teams to NBA championships too. It is clear that he has the qualities of a goof leader as he has won a championship with three different franchises being Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers and LA Lakers. He has been known to be a great leader because he always wants to help those around him and his ability to take care of people. This makes his teammates feel wanted which will then motivate them to want to do better and achieve the goals that they set out to.
